Teaching Practice: Phase 1: Day 34

In 8E class, I taught 'Concord' as it would be helpful for the pupils while attempting examinations. Though with difficulty,  they managed to understand the concept of 'concord'. I gave them questions related to the same and they could answer them. Adequate repetition was given. I got one more period in 8E as substitution. During that period, I wrote down the summary of the lesson 'A Day in the Country' on the board and asked the learners to take them down in their notebooks. 

In 9F class, I continued with revision class on the topic 'On Killing a Tree.' I had one more period there, but Mathematics subject teacher borrowed that period from me for completing the portions. During the last period, I distributed sweets to 9F students as a token of love. I wished them good luck for their Christmas examination.

Poster Making Competition in association with World Human Rights Day.

GCTE Thycaud in association with Human Rights and Ethics Cell organised a POSTER MAKING COMPETITION  in connection with the  International Human Rights Day. The theme for the Competition was "DIGNITY, FREEDOM, AND JUSTICE FOR ALL".  The event was conducted from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm on 12th December 2022 . The venue for the competition was Sanskrit Room . Each Department came up with a poster. The competition was mandatory for all the Departments of B.Ed and M.Ed. The participating teams were not allowed to use any stickers. The posters would have to be original which can be accounted for and have not been competed or published. Chart papers and sufficient color pens were brought by the student teachers themselves. Teacher volunteers and student volunteers cane to the  Sanskrit room  at the time of competition for observation. Teaching Practice Phase 2: Day 36

Today marked the end of the second phase school internship. I could successfully complete the portions assigned to me by Maja ma'am for 8f learners. The students gave an informal farewell for me to my surprise. I along with my fellow trainees  who engaged 8 8f were invited to the class during the 6th period. The pupils had taken effort to scribble on the blackboard all our so called hackneyed dialogues and topics which we taught in the class. Even some of the discourses I gave in the class like movie poster making, news report writing and travel agency flyer were written and highlighted on the board. I collected personal feedbacks from the learners.  Most of them opined that they enjoyed all the class activities given. Some opined that they could understand the target language-use in the class only to a certain degree.
