Food Fest
“There is no sincerer love than the love of food." Thus said the English playwright George Bernard Shaw evincing the fact that food consistently pleases us. To celebrate the best of culinary magic, GCTE, Thycaud organised a food fest - Ruchimelam - on June 13, Tuesday, that offered mouth-watering cuisines and entertainment. With a slew of stalls, the student teachers of our college hosted the fest that turned out to be a feast for the eyes, ensuring the participation of outsiders too.
The stalls were set up in front of our college like odes to food enthusiasts and to our iconic institution that stood through times.
By 11am, Dr. AV Sujith, Principal, GCTE, inaugurated the food fest by relishing some of his favourite delicacies. The gastronomical delights arranged for the fest included snacks, main course, desserts, drinks and shakes which were prepared by the students. Our team got an opportunity to make and sell golgappa. The team included me, Veena, Sruthi, Jenifa, Sibana, Parvathy and Krishnakumar. It was quite a unique and novel experience for us.
