Teaching Practice Phase 2: Day 29
I conducted diagnostic test for 8F pupils today based on the topic Question Tags. The analysis of Achievement test answer sheet revealed that only three students had completely grasped the concept. Knowledge level and application level questions were included for the test. The test was held during the last period. Many students approached me during the lunch break to ask doubts regarding providing question tags in sentences with no direct auxiliary verbs and I tried to dispell their doubts in the best way I could, using examples. Given the time constraints I could not discuss the answers for the diagnostic test.
I engaged 9C Arabic language students during the 6th period as substitution. It was troublesome to manage the class despite only a few students there. I learnt that 'Laa' in Arabic means no and 'naam' means yes though I could not familiarise myself with the script. I did not have other substitution duties or discipline duties today.
