Teaching Practice Phase 2: Day 26
I started with the next poem 'Marvellous Travel' at 8f class during the fourth period. I had planned a complete ICT lesson for the same and within limitations I could implement it. Video clip on various tourist destinations was played in the beginning of the class. I tried to make my class less lagging as instructed by Jayakrishna ma'am the previous day. I made use of digital flipbook, audio clip played using mobile phone and PowerPoint slides for conveying the meaning of verses to the students. PowerPoint slides were used for displaying the comprehension and appreciation level questions. The questions for activity and corresponding crossword puzzle and later answers were displayed using Microsoft Word. The students shared their experiences of their favourite journey and the reasons for the same.
I had a substitution period at 8F itself during the first period. I made the learners work out textual textile activities from the poem 'From a Railway Carriage' during the 5th period.
I took a substitution at 9D class during the 5th period. the learners were busy completing their Mathematics notebook.
After the national anthem I marked the evening attendance and left the school.
