Teaching Practice Phase 2: Day 23
I engaged the 7G class during the first period as substitution. The learners were busy completing their notes and I resigned myself to completing the assessment columns of my lesson plans. I had a regular period at 8f from 10: 10 am to 11 am and also got a substitution there from 1:20 pm to 2: 00 pm. So I could complete adjectives as well as degrees of comparison in detail. The learners were given an activity of composing poems about their favourite fruit including adjectives in them. Most of the groups attempted the activity well. The group led by Anjana came up with the best poem from among all the groups one teemed with adjectives, poetic rhythm, rhyming words and visual images. The poem was about the fruit avocado. All the groups wrote poems that bore testimony to their imagination, despite errors in diction. During the last period I got substitution in 8D class. As instructed by Jyoti mam I made the learners do some question tag exercises and discussed the answers. I did not have any line duty today. After marking evening attendance, I left the school.
