Teaching Practice Phase 2: Day 16

There was no morning assembly today due to bad weather. Following the morning prayer a pledge was sworn against the abuse of elderly people. A one minute awareness speech on the same was also delivered to apprise the learners of it. I got morning duty in 9A class. During the second period I engaged 8f students commencing with the second unit, involving the pupils in group discussions about survival stories, films and gave a post listening activity. They were acquainted with the voyages of Robinson Crusoe through an animated version of the story. Regarding the things they would demand if strandard in a deserted island the pupils came up with interesting, unique and sometimes funny responses. The activity was really engaging to the students. In the post listening activity conducted after playing the video in class team B headed by Ardra came first with 18 points against team A with 16 points. It was a neck and neck competition . I congratulated both teams for their engagement in the process. During the fourth period I took substitution in 9D class where students were busy completing notes. As usual we patrolled the corridors and exited the school ground after the national anthem.
