Teaching Practice: Phase 2- Day 2

After the morning prayer as I was chit chatting with my fellow teacher trainees,  I got a substitution period in 8F class. Thus I could continue with the lesson 'The Mysterious Picture'. I could also meet many who didn't get to attend the previous day's class due to SPC training. Still I am no better in recalling the names of those whom I acquainted with yesterday except a few. I engaged a regular hour during the fourth period. A discourse on dialogue writing was assigned to students in groups. Two from each of the four groups were made to present the same before the class and it was a splendid experience for the learners filled with fun, laughter and learning. I could manage the class however with the cooperation of the learners. Apart from these two periods in 8F, I got substitution hour in 9F. To while away the time, I divided the class into two story telling circles. Each student from a circle took turn to narrate a story which was continued by another student in an impromptu fashion. The last student in these circles completed the story they began. The whole exercise was entertaining and spirited.I was immensely pleased that many of my former students (from 8E and 9F classes of first phase internship) came running to me and asked my whereabouts. They were eager to know if I have classes with them but sadly I do not. We spoke for a while and parted, promising to meet again.
