Teaching Practice: Phase 1: Days 26, 27 & 28
State level school Science festival began on Thursday, 30th of November. On Wednesday, we were given preparatory duties at Manacaud Girls HSS. On 29th November, Wednesday, the organizers familiarised us with event details and our responsibilities. We acquired ourselves with the participating vocational programmes and exhibitors to better assist attendees. We gathered the schedule for the expo and established good communication with fellow volunteers to ensure smooth running of the expo.
Director of General Education, Shanavas S, hoisted the flag for the State school Science Festival at the Cotton Hill school at 10 am on Thursday, 30th November. At 11 am, Speaker AN Shamseer inaugurated the same. The State level vocational expo at Manacaud school featured diverse events, from skill showcases to interactive workshops. There were live demonstrations of various vocational skills such as electronics, plumbing and carpentry. Students displayed projects in fields like graphic design, culinary arts and automotive technology. The exhibits provided a comprehensive overview of vocational education, career possibilities and practical application of skills in various industries. The competitions were held from Thursday to Saturday. VK Prasanth MLA gave away the prizes.
Day 26: November 29
Today was a day of preparation and anticipation for the upcoming State Level School Science Festival. We were assigned preparatory duties at Manacaud Girls Higher Secondary School. The organizers familiarized us with event details and our responsibilities, ensuring that we were well-prepared to assist attendees. We acquainted ourselves with the participating vocational programs and exhibitors, gathered the schedule for the expo, and established good communication with fellow volunteers to ensure the smooth running of the event. The excitement was palpable as we geared up for the festival's start tomorrow.
Day 27: November 30
The first day of the State Level School Science Festival began with great enthusiasm. At 10 am, Director of General Education Shanavas S hoisted the flag at Cotton Hill School, marking the official start of the festival. Shortly after, at 11 am, Speaker AN Shamseer inaugurated the event, setting a positive tone for the days to come. The vocational expo at Manacaud School featured a wide range of activities, from skill showcases to interactive workshops. Day 28: December 1
The festival continued with an array of engaging and informative activities. Competitions took center stage, running from Thursday to Saturday, with students showcasing their talents and innovative projects. The diverse events provided insights into various vocational careers and highlighted the importance of practical skills in today's world. The interactive workshops and live demonstrations allowed attendees to get hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of different vocational fields. The festival concluded with a prize-giving ceremony, where VK Prasanth MLA honored the winners, celebrating their achievements and hard work. As we wrapped up the event, it was clear that the festival had successfully highlighted the value of vocational education and inspired many students to explore these rewarding career paths.
