Teaching Practice : Phase 1: Day 35
This day marked the last regular classes for the pupils before the commencement of the Christmas examination. Hindi subject trainee Ms. Veena borrowed two periods for 9F class from me, for completing the pending portions. I conducted a grammar test for 9H class based on the topics 'Conjunctions' and 'Prepositions'. In 8E class, I held an open book test on the poem 'First Showers' and corrected the answers then and there itself. The pupils were made to rewrite the wrong responses. I distributed some candies to the pupils as a symbol of love and indebtedness for their cooperation.
We were given duties to chalk-mark the roll numbers of the students of 7D, 9H, 9C, 10C and 8C in different classes to indicate their seating arrangements for the Christmas examination. We took care of the task during the last period when most classes were free. Class-based Christmas celebrations were held by a few. The classes were decorated with balloons and festoons. Christmas cakes were cut and morsels distributed along with some flavoured drinks. Students exchanged among one another hand-made greeting cards, wishes and hugs, all of which reminding us of our school days.
