Teaching Practice: Phase 1: Day 24

Apart from a regular hour in 8E, I got a substitution period there. So I could start with and complete a considerable portion of the new lesson 'A Day in the Country '. I engaged an ICT lesson for them making use of powerpoint slides, videos and audio clips. In 9F class, I continued with the lesson 'The Last Leaf'. I distributed the examination answer sheets of the mid term test to the pupils. Most of them have performed well for the test.

During the sixth period,  I took a physical education class for 6E. I made the learners do some warm up activities like knee lift and arm circle before venturing into the minor game, "Clap and Catch". I divided the class into two groups, gave instructions regarding the rules of the game and did a demonstration for them. I chose a thrower from among the pupils and made her the ball thrower. The minor game was followed by a ball catching activity. Our PE guide and teacher, Roshkumar sir came for class observation and suggested changes with regard to class organization and group division, nevertheless accepting the spatial constraints there. He asked me to implement these changes in the coming PE classes.
